HOW TO GET THERE
There are some mode of transportation alternative to get to Milan; Plane, Train and Bus. Each has positive and negative side depend on your condition; budget, health, with whom you travel and your hotel location. For budget consideration, bus is the best choice because the ticket prices is cheapest and bus stops in city downtown. For time consideration, high speed train is the best choice because you must not spend much time for checking and security process (like on airport) and easy for getting the location train station which is in city downtown. But for convenience consideration and long distance city (especially if you travel with child and elderly), I think traveling by plane is the best choice. It’s up to you depend on your condition.
Where is the airport, train station and bus station? The airport of Milan is Malpensa International Airport where you need about an hour to reach Milan downtown by train. For train and bus station, there are two; Garibaldi Station and Milan Central, all of them are located in Milan Downtown.

WHERE TO STAY
As a first timer, I think hotel near train station is the best option because it is easy to reach and easy to explore the city as the common and cheapest city transportation is by subway. If you travel to Milan by Bus or Train with stop in Milan Central, We recommend to take hotel near Milan Central Station. There are plenty hotel you could choose depend on your criteria and of course your budget.
WHAT PLACES TO SEE
There are dozen interesting places to visit in Milan. But for first timer and short time visit, I suggest visiting at least three places; Piazza Duomo, San Siro Stadium, and Via Monte Napoleone.
- PIAZZA DEL DUOMO
Piazza Del Duomo is main square of Milan. Located in city center, this artistic places is wellknown as cultural heritage and the most prestigious commercial activities in Milan. In this area, there are some the most important building in Milan such as Milan Duomo (Cathedral of Milan), Galleria Vittorio Emanuelle II (Prestigious Shopping Arcade) and Monument to Victor Emanuelle II.
Because of its cultural value and fame as high class shopping area, this beautiful places become the most popular tourist destination in Milan and always crowded by visitor every day. Therefore, for tourist who are visiting Milan, visiting this place is a must.





How To Get There
It’s easy to reach Piazza Del Duomo by using public transportation since there is a direct subway track from Milan Central Station. From Milan Central, you take Subway San Donato line which needs just about 6 minute with 4 stops to arrive at Duomo. From the station, you just need to walk about 150 meters to reach the the square and some the great building such Milan Cathedral and Gallleria Vittorio Emanuelle II.
2. SAN SIRO STADIUM
San Siro Stadium or Giuseppe Meazza Stadium is a stadium in Milan which is home for AC Milan and Inter Milan FC. For those are football lover, this stadium is not strange anymore since AC Milan and Inter Milan are big football club in Italy and also in the world. Because of the fame of AC Milan and Inter Milan, no wonder if many people from across the globe visit this stadium.




How To Get There
Located in San Siro District, this stadium is easy to reach by using public transportation. From Milan Central station, you can take sub way Abiategraso line head to Garibaldi station, then change train San Siro Stadio line head to San Siro Ippodromo Station. And the you just need to walk about 35o meters or 5 minutes to arrive at the San Siro Stadium. The Journey from Milan Central Station to Garibaldi station is less than 5 minutes with only 2 stops.
Meanwhile the journey from Garibaldi station to San Siro Ippodromo station takes time about 11 minutes with 9 stops.But if you are in Piazza Del Duomo, you can take direct train from Milano Station (San Siro Stadio Mm) to P. za Axum station. From the station you just need to walk about 1 minute arrive at San Siro Stadium. The Journeys from Milano Station to P. za Axum station is about 28 minutes with 18 stops.
3. VIA MONTE NAPOLEONE
Did you ever hear this name? May be some of you are still strange for this name, Via Monte Napoleone. But for people who are hooked with branded clothes, bag or shoes or even jewelry, I bet they have known this name very well. Yeah, it is a name of an upscale shopping street in Milan, Italy where dozens of boutiques and shops of high end product located. This street is the most important Milan fashion district known as Quadrilatero Della Moda, where high end boutique of famous designer located.
